The personal data you provide will be collected, processed and used exclusively for the purpose of participating in the above event in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 Sub-para. 1(a) GDPR. 

Your data will be used to create a list of participants with details of your first name, surname and (if provided) your place and location of work.

If any photographs or videos are taken, processed and used, it will be for the purposes of reporting on the event. This includes:

  • Contributions on the websites arl-net.de and arl-international.com and in the ARL Newsletter
  • Video releases on YouTube
  • Contributions on the SAW and EMMD websites (saw-leipzig.de and mitteldeutschland.com)
  • Publication in print- and online media such as the ARL News or publications on the conference.

Your personal data will be passed on for organisational and statistical purposes to the Saxon Academy of Sciences and Humanities (SAW), the European Metropolitan Region of Central Germany (EMMD) and, if necessary, for booking your accommodation, which we will undertake as the data processor (Art. 28 GDPR) in accordance with data protection regulations. The booking of accommodation is only undertaken for active participants via the ARL.

 

There is no transfer to a third country or international organisation of the personal data you provide, and neither is any such transfer planned.

 

Pursuant to Article 15 of the GDPR, you have the right to information about the processing of your personal data. In addition, you are free to assert your rights to rectification, erasure or, if erasure is not possible, restriction of processing and data portability in accordance with Articles 16-18, 20 GDPR. Should you wish to exercise this right, please contact our data protection officer.

 

Furthermore, you have the right to complain to the competent supervisory authority at any time. If you are of the opinion that your personal data is not being processed in compliance with data protection laws, we would kindly ask you to contact our data protection officer.
